Youth Trumpet Scholars
YTS is an inclusive program which invites trumpet-playing kids in SoCal to join our organization intended to support their musical & emotional growth though their participation in an annual 2-day event which includes clinics, masterclasses and participation in a professional concert. This is a non-competitive event. We ask our applicants to submit a video of them playing their favorite song to help us place them in skill level groups. All we ask our YTS is that once they commit, they follow through and do the best that they can. Our motto is: Inspiration, Purpose and Belonging.
After our 2-day event, our YTS will feel supported and inspired to continue with trumpet playing. We have received numerous emails from kids who participated in our first event thanking us and asking about next year's event. Additionally, we have received emails from parents as well as community members who want to be annual donors. We have all the components of a substantial youth-music program in SoCal, but we need financial support.
