Student-Led Theatre Arts Education Program
ANTC provides year-round theatre education where students lead all aspects of theatrical production, including acting, singing, dancing, directing, choreography, stage management, technical theatre, lighting, sound, costume design, scenic construction, and marketing. Students receive mentorship from experienced educators and industry professionals while developing leadership, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills.
Each year ANTC produces approximately five major performances, including full-length musicals, theatrical plays, Broadway Night, and student showcases. These productions provide students with authentic performance opportunities while offering the community affordable, high-quality live theatre.
Students receive hands-on instruction in lighting, sound engineering, scenic construction, prop design, costume creation, stage management, and production technology. These experiences prepare students for higher education and careers in technical theatre, entertainment, and related creative industries.
A hallmark of ANTC is its student-led organizational model, where students take responsibility for artistic and operational decisions under faculty mentorship. Participants develop leadership, project management, communication, budgeting, collaboration, and problem-solving skills that extend well beyond the theatre.
