Our Mission is to improve the quality of life for families challenged by Alzheimer's disease or another dementia through services tailored to meet individual needs. Background Statement

For over 40 years, AFC has been the only adult day health care facility that exclusively serves seniors diagnosed with a dementia--and we still are. We are recognized as a Center of Excellence by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, the only facility in Orange County so honored and one of only 6 in all of California. To earn this designation, our staff receives special training for working with the memory impaired.

Impact Statement

In our last caregiver survey, 99% of our 130 respondents agreed that having their loved one attend AFC has helped them delay institutionalization of their loved one. 100% would recommend us to others.

Needs Statement

Age is the greatest risk factor for dementia, with nearly half of all those over age 85 affected by memory loss. It is estimated that over 164,000 people in Orange County are affected by dementia or mild cognitive impairment.

The entire staff of AFC is committed to helping families manage the challenges of having a memory-impaired loved one. As the only dementia-specific adult day health care facility in Orange County, we provide expert dementia care services for patients, and a broad array of support services for their caregivers.

For over 40 years, AFC has been the most trusted dementia care provider in Orange County. Our entire Board of Directors is dedicated to providing high quality care for patients, and the support caregivers neeed to hep their loved one age in place.
