Emprendedor@s Program

The Emprendedor@s Program is an 8-week entrepreneurship training program designed to help aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to start and grow successful small businesses. Delivered entirely in Spanish, the program provides culturally relevant business education for entrepreneurs who may not have access to traditional small business training programs. Through weekly workshops, participants receive practical instruction in key areas of business development, including business planning, financial management, pricing, marketing, and business operations. Entrepreneurs also learn how to identify target customers, evaluate market opportunities, and build sustainable business models. A central component of the program is helping participants strengthen their financial knowledge and develop sound financial management practices. Entrepreneurs gain a better understanding of cash flow, budgeting, and the financial requirements needed to formalize and operate a business. After completing the 8-week training program, graduates receive three months of individualized one-on-one business consulting. This personalized support helps entrepreneurs implement their business plans, address specific challenges, and prepare for opportunities to access capital and grow their businesses. Through the Emprendedor@s Program, entrepreneurs gain the tools, guidance, and leadership skills needed to transform business ideas into viable enterprises that generate income, create jobs, and contribute to the economic vitality of their communities.

Outcomes

Since 2016, more than 2,000 entrepreneurs have graduated from Asociación de Emprendedor@s’ Emprendedor@s Program. Over 45% of graduates have launched small businesses, resulting in approximately 900 new enterprises across the communities we serve.

These businesses are generating income for families, creating jobs, and strengthening local economies. Based on conservative estimates of microbusiness revenue, entrepreneurs supported through AdE are generating more than $50 million in annual economic activity.

In addition, these businesses support an estimated 900 to 1,200 jobs, including self-employment and additional employees hired as businesses grow.

By equipping entrepreneurs with business development skills, financial education, and leadership training in Spanish, AdE helps expand pathways to economic mobility while strengthening the small business ecosystem throughout the Inland Empire.
