After School Education & Safety
The Boys & Girls Club of Westminster operates six After School Education and Safety (ASES) program sites throughout the Westminster School District, providing high-quality after-school programming that supports the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of local youth. Each day, our dedicated staff creates safe, inclusive environments where students receive homework assistance, academic enrichment, STEM activities, arts and crafts, recreation, leadership development, and social-emotional learning opportunities. Our programs are designed to reinforce classroom learning while helping young people build confidence, develop positive relationships, and acquire the skills they need to succeed in school and in life. As a trusted community partner, we work closely with schools, families, and local organizations to ensure every child has access to a safe, supportive place during the critical after-school hours. Through our six ASES sites, the Boys & Girls Club of Westminster is committed to inspiring and empowering youth to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens while strengthening families and the Westminster community.
The Boys & Girls Club of Westminster's ASES programs are designed to produce meaningful outcomes that support the overall success and well-being of the youth we serve. Through a combination of academic support, enrichment activities, physical fitness, and social-emotional learning, participants improve homework completion, strengthen academic skills, and increase engagement in school. Students build confidence, develop positive relationships with peers and caring adult mentors, and enhance their communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Daily opportunities for recreation and wellness encourage healthy lifestyles, while leadership activities foster responsibility, good character, and civic engagement. Our programs also provide families with a safe, reliable after-school environment, giving parents peace of mind while ensuring children are supported during the critical hours after school. By partnering with schools and families, our ASES programs help youth become confident, healthy, and responsible individuals who are better prepared for success in school, their communities, and throughout their lives.
