CEO/Executive Director Experience
Denise Gutierrez has led the California Council on Economic Education (CCEE) as President and CEO since 2019, bringing a deep commitment to economic empowerment through education. Her journey from overcoming personal challenges to achieving academic success—including a Bachelor’s in Sociology and a Master’s in Leadership and Management from the University of La Verne—has shaped her dedication to economic literacy. Prior to joining CCEE, Gutierrez served as Director of Development for the College of Business and Economics at Cal State Los Angeles, where she facilitated partnerships and programs to enhance student experiences.
