CEO/Executive Director Experience

Hilda Sramek was officially named CEO of CMR by the Board when CMR became a nonprofit organization in 2018. She has been in charge of CMR since its inception in 2011, at a time when she was employed at California State University, Long Beach, as Director of Service-Learning and instructor in the Teacher Education Specialist Program. She has co-authored several publications on including individuals with disabilities in schools and society, and has spoken at conferences on the topic. With Carla, she traveled to various cities in the U.S.A. to speak about Carla’s experiences in education, including a talk for the LifeRaft Series of the Screen Actors Guild Foundation, and also in Russia, where they both gave the keynote address for the Russian-American Roundtable in Education. Carla is is the Founding President of CMR, and as an artist herself she has had a number of one-person exhibits at CSULB and participated in local art fairs and exhibits. Currently she is a student of Musical Theatre, working on short films on inclusive social skills, designing costumes for Orange County Children's Theatre, and working on a screen play.
