CMR-Carlas Movie Restaurant

Individuals with disabilities actively participating in the production, filming, directing, editing of short films.

With a partner at a permanent location, CMR will operate an intimate venue featuring new filmmakers and talented artists, with live entertainment, gift shop, event room, outdoor patio with screen, and staff with different abilities and talents.  It will be known as the place to experience, purchase, and showcase art, and enjoy first-class food and drinks among a community of artists, art lovers and supporters. In every in-person pop-up, the restaurant staff/owners have invited CMR back.

Artists will be discovered, supported, and continue in their career as artists.  Artists will be mentored by established artists wanting to "give back."  Through 2022, 104 Films were shown, 43 Musicians performed, 26 Artists were featured.

Provide meaningful experience to individuals with disabilities interested in the arts, service industry, or helping profession. Persons with disabilities participate as film crew, artists, and master of ceremonies.

New filmmakers and artists present their work to the community for enjoyment and purchase. The community gathers in a local venue to celebrate together. Persons with disabilities participate as artists, volunteers, and community members. From 2012- 2021, over CMR welcomed over 1500 guests in person, and held 22 pop-ups.
