Dance 4 Joy Studio Classes

Dance 4 Joy Studios currently offers 32 classes weekly in two studio locations (Irvine and Costa Mesa). With 150+ dancers registered, classes are taught by dance professionals in: ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, choreography, worship, & banners for youth ages 3-18, young adults and seniors. Many families are able to afford tuition which significantly helps with costs, but for those families in financial need, scholarships are provided and no dancer is ever turned away. This year’s scholarship budget is $45K paid for by our Champion Donor Team. All classes follow the Joy Transformation Model of teaching, providing social, emotional, physical, psychological, spiritual, and artistic wellness through world class dance training producing dancers ready for college and a career in the art of dance ministry.

Dance 4 Joy Ministries currently gives auxiliary dance classes outside the studio in 7 locations: Newport Beach - Melinda Smith Hoag Center for Healthy Living - 7 Classes weekly - Free Program for Families (FRC) Costa Mesa - Wilson Street Learning Center - 1 Praise Dance Class a week K-3rd Grade - Free Program Costa Mesa - Folklorico Summer Camp - 1 Week K-5th Grade - Free Program Garden Grove - Christ Cathedral Academy - 1 Liturgical Dance Class a week K-4th Grade - Tuition Based Program Anaheim - St Anthony Mary Claret Church - 2 Praise and Worship Classes a week K-9th Grade - Free Program Huntington Beach - Lutheran Church of the Resurrection Preschool - 1 Preschool Class a week - Tuition Based Program Huntington Beach - Refuge Calvary Chapel - Youth Praise Dance Camp - 1 Week K-6th Grade - Tuition and Scholarship All classes follow the Joy Transformation Model of teaching, providing social, emotional, physical, psychological, spiritual, and artistic wellness in a recreational model so dancers can be exposed to the art of dance and discern if they are interested in pursuing a higher level of training.

Evangelistic Outreach

Evangelistic Outreach is the expression of the Gospel in Dance out in the community. Dance 4 Joy engages 5000+ people in person annually through our Gala, 5 Free Concerts, 12+ Elderly Outreaches, and 15+ Community Events. Dance 4 Joy Ministries also reaches an unknown number of people through their social media and Youtube presence. All dancers are invited to participate, and Dance 4 Joy provides an annual T-shirt and all concert garments needed for every dancer. All dance staff, under the Direction of Artistic Director, Susi Beck-Gifford, have produced hundreds of dances telling Biblical Stories including The Nativity (The Gift), Joseph and His Coat of Many Colors, and Egypt’s Prince (Moses). Dance 4 Joy partners with many nonprofits, city organizations, and churches to make this possible including the Salvation Army, City of Costa Mesa and Refuge Calvary Chapel Huntington Beach and many more.
