Brittany Zazueta began her career with Dayle McIntosh Center in 2012. In addition to over 10 years of experience at DMC, Brittany has a bachelor's degree in Social Work, experience with serving at other nonprofits, and has served on a national board for independent living. Brittany shares," I started at DMC having no awareness of our community’s history and zero pride in my own disabilities. Through my desire to learn, and the power of peer support, I now consider myself to be at the pulse of our movement." Brittany has a strong drive to move our community towards disability justice and aims to bring our team not only the required trainings, but the meaningful opportunities and support our Center has been missing to truly operate from an intersectional lens. Her firsthand experience with both the operational and service delivery aspects of the Center allow her to make decisions with the full picture and impact in mind.
