● Mission Statement: Providing Hope and a Future to Children, Families and Birth Mothers Around the World ● Needs Statement: Hope 4 Kids is based in Orange County and we work nationwide collaboratively with every state (other agencies and lawyers) to help create a "Forever Family" for children, families and birth parents. By creating a hope and a future for birth moms, who courageously made the choice for their unborn child and who voluntarily surrendered their child for adoption, through support groups, networking nationwide for lifelong services to help them develop their full potential and leadership abilities. Without strong advocacy for adoption, many more babies and children would end up in the foster care system. Today, there are more than a half million children in the foster care system. Each year in America, over 3.5 million children are reported as abused and neglected. Of those, 905,000 are confirmed victims. That means that at least every 36 seconds a child is abused or neglected. Working with birth parents/and unplanned pregnancies, we prepare thousands of adoptive parents and also prevent children from ever entering the system yet often it is unavoidable. If nothing changes in the United States: ● 16,800 children will die from child abuse and neglect. ● Nearly 11 million children will be confirmed as victims of abuse or neglect. ● 7.2 million children will experience foster care. ● 288,000 youth will age out of foster care, most with inadequate support to build successful adult lives.
