The CEO of Females For Football, Merrick Minh Nguye, brings a unique blend of athletic experience, leadership, and professional expertise to the organization. A lifelong athlete, he played football throughout his childhood and went on to compete at the collegiate level at University of California, Berkeley, where he developed a deep understanding of the discipline, teamwork, and resilience required to succeed in the sport. His passion for football has continued beyond his own playing career, as he now coaches three of his daughters in the Matt Leinart Flag Football League. Through coaching, he has witnessed firsthand the confidence, joy, and growth that the game brings to young female athletes—fueling his commitment to expanding opportunities for girls in football. In addition to his athletic and coaching background, he serves as a Managing Director at a leading wealth management firm, where he provides strategic guidance, leadership, and financial expertise. This professional experience strengthens Females For Football’s foundation, ensuring thoughtful growth, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability. Combining his experience as a player, coach, father, and executive, he is deeply committed to building a platform that empowers the next generation of female athletes both on and off the field.
