Hi, my name is Lores Luv and I am one of thousands of survivors of domestic violence whose story needs to be told. 

I am not one to easily share my personal story, but my journey from the shadows to the light is one of profound resilience and determination.

A survivor of both a harrowing domestic violence relationship and a battle with life threatening illness. I have emerged from fear and the shadows of my private life to stand as a beacon of hope for others. I have chosen to step into vulnerability publicly because I believe it's through sharing our pain that we empower others to overcome theirs, particularly young girls, and women.

For a grueling 10 months, I lived in the shadows of an emotionally and physically abusive relationship. 

The extent of the abuse was staggering: physical assaults, such as choking and beating that left scars on my entire left side; emotional torment, where my abuser repeatedly told me that I am worthless and a burden to society; relentless bullying, gaslighting, and threats to tarnish my reputation if I did not comply; stalking; hacking into my iCloud account; hiding my cellphone to prevent me from seeking help during violent episodes, and even manipulating others to join in spreading lies and gossip, staining my reputation, especially within the church community where I once found solace.

Despite enduring this nightmare, with the support of the police, doctors, therapist, church family and friends, I found strength in attending my first Domestic Violence group therapy session. 

Where I encountered the stories of other beautiful souls and their children, trapped in cycles of emotional and physical abuse for years and they can’t escape. This experience fueled my commitment to become their voice, a champion against Human ABUSE; which led to the transformation of my nonprofit to GrowLuv.org.

At GrowLuv, we believe in the inherent value of every life and are committed to creating a world where abuse is eradicated through Prevention, Education, and Survivor support. Our programs include:

• 
  Prevention – Establishing GrowLuv Clubs in schools and Programs in communities where we empower students to teach each other the importance of self-care, self-love, self-value; share different forms of human abuse (such as bully, cyber-bully, manipulation, breaking the cycle of generation abuse, etc.) and provide support for those in need.
  


• 
  Education – Utilizing social media platform to amplify acts of love, kindness, and service; while bringing awareness on different forms of human abuse - how to avoid, escape, and defend to reduce teen suicide. 
  


• 
  Survivor-Escape-Kit™ – Offering critical resources such as safe housing, food, clothing, medical assistance, and legal aid for survivors no matter income status.
  

Because Life is precious, and Humans are Worth Saving!

The legal process was difficult — retraumatizing — and an unnecessarily heavy burden. I had to gather all my evidence, text messages, voicemails, videos, pictures, etc. I still can’t sleep at night and fear for my life. I am taking Karate as a self-defense class to help overcome my trauma and prevent my abuser and others from hurting me. 

I tell my story because future generations deserve to have their voices heard and stories believed. But they need our support today to make that happen.

I wish GrowLuv was around when I was encountering the physical and emotional abuse. Because of incredible donors like you, GrowLuv gives a voice and pathway out to those who often feel silenced, scared, and alone.
