HOA Community Reinvestment Fund - Bishop Manor Clubhouse Renovation Project
Our program is to cost effectively renovate the deteriorated Bishop Manor HOA Clubhouse and playground so that it may be operated as an afterschool learning center by KidWorks OC and The Cambodian Family. We know that this improvement in access to educational advancement will greatly benefit neighborhood youth for many years to come. We also feel that this enhancement to the Bishop Manor HOA will stimulate additional and necessary private reinvestment to address deficient physical conditions on site i.e. leaky roofs, elecrical and plumbing concerns
Beyond the clubhouse renovation, our overall program outcomes include:
- improve educational and learning opportunities for 400+ youth
- attract additional resources in the areas of economic opportunity and healthcare
- assist households currently renting to achieve homeownership at the HOA
- reduce crime through the activation of Neighborhood Watch with local law enforcement
- build leadership capacity of residents serving on the HOA Board
- improve the social climate on the property, reduce disputes and encourage cross cultural understanding
- stimulate additional rounds of necessary private reinvestment in the physical property.
