CEO/Executive Director Experience

Logan Crow is an avid and lifelong film lover, with a special place in his heart for horror, cult, avant-garde, and genre cinema. A first generation American born to a Nicaraguan mother and Ecuadorian father, Logan has distinguished himself as one of Southern California’s preeminent film and art house cinema advocates. In 2014 he founded The Frida Cinema, the only non-profit art house cinema in Orange County. Prior to founding The Frida, Logan’s passion for film led to the formation of Long Beach Cinematheque which presented dozens of outdoor classic film screenings in Long Beach, California. He was also the founder of the popular Los Angeles classic and cult cinema website MondoCelluloid.com, a founding Board Member of the Cultural Alliance of Long Beach, and created the highly attended Zombie Walk Long Beach. He is also a previous Board Member of Santa Ana’s Downtown Inc. Logan is a 2012 alumnus of Leadership Long Beach, a graduate of The Nonprofit Partnership’s Emerging Leaders Program, and in 2012 was recognized by Long Beach Post as one of their annual “40 Under 40” community leaders. In 2014, The Frida was selected as the OC Weekly’s Reader’s Choice Winner for Best Indie Movie Theater in Orange County. Logan frequently serves as a guest speaker in the fields of cinema, non-profit leadership, and civic engagement. When not programming and presenting films at The Frida, Logan is a writer, film critic, and social media advisor.
