PROGRAMS

Adult Day Program - Senior Care for Alzheimer's & Dementia

For over 30 years, the Adult Day Program has been rooted in the Mission Viejo and south Orange County community as an experienced social/spiritual care model Adult Day Program. Our clients consist of seniors who are “aging gracefully” and want cognitive reinforcement and socialization. We also serve those who are diagnosed with "early stage" dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and other forms of mild cognitive impairment, where a safe and structured social environment is needed. Our transitional program provides much-needed care and support for individuals and their families as they take preemptive measures for health and well-being, and they prepare for long-term care options.

Budget
$692,000
Outcomes

This program provides families time from diagnosis to transition their loved ones into a care facility or more acute care requirements. Our program enables clients to stay home longer and extend the early stage of these cognitive disorders. By adding staff, programs and additional activity materials we will be able to serve more families, up to our limit of 40 per day.

Robert H. Lange Preschool

Preschool is the introduction to a lifelong educational journey for children. It is the goal of Robert H. Lange Preschool to foster a love for learning in our students with an individualized, child-centered approach. We introduce our students to the beginning foundations of social-emotional development, language and literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, visual and performing arts and physical development with our hands-on, developmentally appropriate practices. We utilize both developmental and pre-academic structures to our program in order for the student to grow as a healthy member of their own community. Our understanding and value of exceptional early-childhood education equips children to be productive and passionate thinkers, neighbors and leaders. This is seen in our details of Christian values, but more so in the empowerment of the child as they reflect on their own abilities to be the best that they are called to be. Each child is different and unique and our purpose is to recognize and help our students achieve their full potential in their overall development as we work together to provide a solid foundation for the child and family in a healthy, developmental Christian framework.

Budget
$1,030,000
Outcomes

Our Preschool is thriving! This creates the need for more space, staffing and evaluation of facilities, especially with guidelines and ratios from state licensing. We are eager to make some updates to our campus to better serve our families and further foster the safe, loving environment they love. We are looking to update the campus exterior doors for safety, modify some existing spaces to be able to serve even more families, including 2 year olds, and add staff to keep our child to teacher ratios down.

Children & Student Ministry - Birth through 12th Grade

Our Children's (Kid City) and student ministry programs (ROCK) serve children birth through 12th grade. Programming is done in designated, age-appropriate buildings. Nursery through 5th grade is served by our Kid City building. Programming inside this building includes MOPS and MOMSnext, Weekend Worship services, Bible studies and many more programs. Our Student Ministry Middle School and High School facility, The Rock, provides a space where these teens feel safe and want to hang out. Programming consists of small groups Bible studies, Worship Services, weekend events and much more. Both programs also feature retreats and special event programs designed to make inviting a friend easy and fun. These ministries are vital in creating a foundation of the Christian faith in these children. There are hundreds of children participating each week and we hope to see growth, serving more students every year!

Budget
$104,000
Outcomes

We have summer camp programs and weekly connection events to enhance community, relationships with friends and Jesus. We want to serve even more than we are, so we will need extra staff/volunteers, extra space on retreats, additional transportation for retreats and more. We want to help our children engage and experience Jesus in a whole new way.

Campus Improvements & Enhancements

Mount of Olives was the first church in Mission Viejo, built in 1967. We acquired the old Mission Viejo Library building in 1996 as part of our campus. We have done several large building projects throughout the years, but our campus needs some updates to make it more energy efficient and cohesive in appearance.

Budget
$250,000
Outcomes

Our main areas of focus are retrofitting lighting to LED throughout campus, but especially in high use spaces like classrooms and offices. Evaluate and install new HVAC systems to make it energy efficient and cohesive with the other structures on campus. Third, several of our 20 -30 ton HVAC units are over 20 years old and require replacement in the next few years. Finally, our parking lot lights and asphalt will need to be replaced for safety and efficiency. While we are able to maintain our facility, we allocate as many dollars as possible to ministry that serves people's needs, allowing only spending for repairs/replacements as required.

Technical Arts & Media Ministry

This ministry is more important than ever! Equipment to make streaming and online experiences excellent are expensive. We have a team of volunteers and staff that strive to keep up with what is needed to make online and in person experiences excellent. We have multiple large venue spaces that require AV equipment, trained employees/volunteers, and maintenance. Finding a way to make each venue easy enough for volunteers and sophisticated enough to provide excellence remains a balancing act this team works on daily. In addition to meetings and weekly worship services, our campus has a recording studio that we use to reach those artists in our community to fulfill our church's mission. This ministry serves to provide excellence in the programs, but also provides a great opportunity for volunteers, especially high schoolers and young adults, to learn Audio/Visual skills and Creative Arts they can use in the future.

Budget
$250,000
Outcomes

The team's goal is to create a campus-wide standardized system for AV and media. Which means, if you can work the system in one venue, you should be able to seamlessly transition to serve in another venue. This in turn provides many people with the ability to serve throughout the week and weekend with ministry. Media is so much more than the pieces of equipment you see in the sound booth or on stage, it is also everything you don't see. We are looking to enhance and upgrade multiple venues with seen and unseen equipment to keep us relevant and current in these new times that are so reliant on social and online media.
