Therapy for Kids
MPFC’s signature program, Therapy for Kids, provides transformative therapeutic opportunities for children with a wide range of diagnoses, including cerebral palsy, autism, rare genetic disorders, emotional disturbances, traumatic brain injury, intellectual impairments, and developmental disabilities. We fund essential treatments such as speech therapy, intensive therapy, psychotherapy, and dynamic movement therapy, as well as "joyful" therapies like swim therapy, music therapy, and hippotherapy (equine-assisted therapy). Therapy goals are developed collaboratively with healthcare professionals, certified therapists, and families to ensure each child receives individualized care tailored to their unique needs. Past goals for participant children have included: “gaining independence in everyday life through improved balance, gait, trunk control, and strength,” “achieving assisted standing and walking to strengthen core muscle tone,” and “transitioning from sitting to standing with improved balance and supported walking.” Each therapy program lasts between three to six months—or until the child’s goals are met—and costs between $1,500 to $2,500 per child. With consistent monitoring by parents and therapists, MPFC evaluates each child's progress at the three-month mark to determine whether continued therapy is recommended. We currently maintain a 90% success rate, with most children showing measurable improvements in strength, mobility, and independence.

Caregiver Impact Statements
What Levi’s Mom Said:
“Hippotherapy has greatly improved Levi’s walking, balance, and core strength. It’s the only therapy that provides full-body sensory release, and he’s highly engaged—babbling, petting the horse, and progressing steadily. His goal is to walk more safely and independently across different surfaces.”
What Koen’s Mom Said:
“In just three weeks, Koen made incredible progress with therapies we couldn’t access locally. His strength, sensory regulation, and even speech improved. It feels like we brought home a whole new child—curious, talkative, and more mobile than ever.”
What Christian’s Grandmother Said:
“Therapy has boosted Christian’s confidence and helped him manage anxiety. He’s playing more, showing emotional growth, and gaining strength on his left side. Horse therapy is the highlight of his week. We’re so grateful!”
92% of parents said the therapy significantly improved their child’s quality of life.
