The Pacific South Coast Chapter is led by Chapter President, Renata Sahagian, who has served in this role since July, 2022. As the leader of the Chapter, the President ensures that operations are aligned to the National MS Society’s priorities and strategic plan, and provides leadership among the Chapter’s Board of Trustees, region colleagues, and staff members to implement the strategic plan. Renata brings over 12 years of non-profit experience to the role. She started with the Pacific South Coast Chapter as a part-time temporary coordinator working across all events to her last position as Senior Director of Bike MS. She has worked with other Market Leads developing multi-market sponsors and corporate teams and encouraged her staff to work together as one cohesive Bike MS team sharing ideas and best practices enabling them to surpass their goals. Prior to rejoining the Society, Renata was the Chief Experience Officer with Life Aid Research Institute where she developed specialized programs that included community activation that improved the health of our veterans, first responders, and their families which empowered resilience. She was also the Executive Director of the Northern California Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and developed relationships with community leaders and board members producing a 60% growth in Individual and Foundation Giving as well as growing and diversifying the Board of Directors.
