Mission Statement
To provide culturally responsive programs and services that promote the health, well-being, and quality of life of seniors and their families, with a focus on underserved and immigrant communities.
Background Statement
Founded with a deep commitment to serve the aging population within diverse and immigrant communities, Olive Community Services has grown into a trusted nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering seniors to live healthier, more engaged, and dignified lives. Rooted in cultural sensitivity and compassion, Olive offers a wide range of programs—from wellness and social engagement to caregiving support and food security—that are thoughtfully designed to meet the unique needs of older adults and their families. Through strategic partnerships and community-based initiatives, Olive is creating lasting impact and bridging gaps in care and connection for seniors across Southern California.
Impact Statement
At Olive Community Services, our impact is measured by the lives we touch and the community we build. Each month, we serve over 400 seniors across five regional hubs through 20+ culturally responsive programs that promote wellness, social connection, lifelong learning, and dignity in aging. From intergenerational storytelling and caregiver support to food distribution and health education, Olive is a lifeline for seniors who are often overlooked. Our work not only enhances quality of life but reduces isolation, empowers independence, and strengthens the fabric of our diverse community. With every donor, volunteer, and program, we are changing the narrative of aging—together.
Needs Statement
As the senior population in Southern California rapidly grows, so does the urgent need for culturally competent, community-based programs that support their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Many of the older adults we serve—especially those from South Asian, Middle Eastern, and North African backgrounds—face unique barriers such as language isolation, limited access to transportation, and lack of culturally relevant care.
Public services often overlook these communities, leaving a critical gap that Olive Community Services works to fill. To meet rising demand, we must expand our reach, increase staffing, and secure sustainable funding. Your support is essential to help us grow programs, reach underserved seniors across Los Angeles and surrounding counties, and ensure that every elder has the opportunity to live with dignity, connection, and purpose.

Statement from the CEO/Executive Director
At Olive Community Services, we are committed to uplifting the lives of older adults and their families through programs that foster connection, health, and dignity. As our communities age, the need for culturally responsive, compassionate care becomes even more urgent. Olive was founded with that mission at heart — to provide a space where seniors from South Asian, Middle Eastern, and other underserved backgrounds feel seen, supported, and valued.
Over the past few years, we have grown from a small initiative into a trusted community anchor, now serving seniors across three counties in Southern California. This growth is a testament to the deep need for our services — and to the generous hearts of our supporters, partners, and volunteers.
As we look to the future, we are expanding programs like Live Learn Thrive, increasing outreach to new geographic areas, and building strong partnerships that ensure our impact is lasting and sustainable. Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we are creating a future where every senior can age with dignity, purpose, and belonging.
Statement from the Board Chair/President
As Board President of Olive Community Services, I am deeply honored to serve an organization rooted in compassion, culture, and community. Olive stands as a beacon of hope and dignity for older adults, especially within underserved South Asian, Middle Eastern, and other immigrant communities who often face unique challenges as they age.
What began as a vision to provide culturally competent care has grown into a movement — one that uplifts lives through meaningful programming, vital resources, and human connection. Whether it’s a warm meal, a wellness workshop, a phone call, or a simple moment of joy, Olive continues to offer dignity and companionship to seniors who need it most.
I am proud of the strides we have made, and inspired by the generosity of our supporters, partners, and volunteers. Together, we are creating a model of care that reflects the values of family, respect, and community — a model that we hope to expand and strengthen in the years ahead.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, thank you for believing in Olive’s mission. Your support ensures that our seniors never walk alone.
