One Atta Time

Our mission is to provide families around the world access to clean drinking water, one at a time.

It started with one child. Following an eye-opening visit to El Salvador in August of 2013 to visit Bryan, his sponsored child, Sean Kappauf felt inspired to do more. As he spent time with Bryan and his mother, he learned that it was common for children in Bryan’s community to suffer from illnesses, intestinal parasites, and worms due to contaminated drinking water. After his visit, Sean returned home motivated to enact positive change.

In February of 2014, and after much research and study, Sean brought a team to El Salvador to train local teenage leaders how to assemble, distribute and maintain 50 water filtration kits for families in need. The trip was successful: The children’s health improved, and entire communities thrived. Sean knew he needed to take further action.

In 2014, he created One ATTA Time and committed to providing water filters to areas in need that would have a lasting impact. As a California-based non-profit we now travel worldwide, distributing water filter kits to families residing in Mexico, Uganda, Colombia, El Salvador, The Caribbean, Vietnam, Fiji, and the United States.

2022 Top Accomplishments:
-75 local leaders involved
-20,000 people gained access to clean drinking water
-4,500 Sawyer water filters distributed to families

-El Salvador: 40,000 filters to families without access to clean water, $2,000,000
-Vietnam: 4,000 filters to families without access to clean water, $200,000
-Colombia: 3,000 filters to families without access to clean water, $75,000
-Honduras: 3,000 filters to families without access to clean water, $75,000
-Fiji & the Caribbean: 3,000 filters to families without access to clean water, $75,000

We have ongoing projects in: El Salvador, Vietnam, Uganda, Colombia, Mexico, Fiji, The Caribbean and the USA.

One ATTA Time exists to help make an impact to the world water crisis. With all of us working together, we can provide every family who currently does not have clean water to drink, with access to clean drinking water. Our process at One ATTA Time is to partner with local leaders and empower them to provide life essentials to those suffering from preventable diseases.
