Needs Statement
At Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties (PPOSBC), we are more than reproductive health care. We are a cornerstone of our communities — a place where patients are met with compassion and dignity, and where marginalized individuals know they will be heard and cared for without judgment.
Last fiscal year, PPOSBC served more than 125,000 unique patients, delivering high-quality care rooted in respect. For many, access was made possible through more than $3 million in charitable care, ensuring cost was never a barrier to birth control, abortion care, cancer screenings, STI testing and treatment, and other essential services.
That sense of safety is especially critical as defunding efforts continue to target Planned Parenthood nationwide. Yet even in the face of setbacks, our commitment remains unwavering, strengthening communities as well as caring for patients. In classrooms and community spaces, we provide accurate, science-based sexual health information for young people.
We also offer programs that equip parents, caregivers, educators, and youth-serving professionals with the tools to foster meaningful conversations about healthy relationships, consent, and informed decision-making. We are dedicated to making this education accessible to everyone, including individuals with learning disabilities and communities who have been too often overlooked.
We provide these services because our communities need us, even when the system doesn’t always fully support us. And we cannot do this work alone.

Statement from the CEO/Executive Director
For 60 years, PPOSBC has been a trusted provider of essential health care and a steadfast advocate for reproductive rights. What began as a bold vision has grown into a deeply rooted presence in our communities, built on care, courage, and the unwavering belief that everyone deserves the freedom to make their own health decisions.
Our legacy isn’t measured only in years but in the lives touched and barriers broken. Thanks to your support, we’ve continued to meet people where they are, with compassion, respect, and high-quality care, no matter what.
We’re continuing to grow to meet the movement. With demand for care rising, we have expanded our Anaheim health center and we’re preparing to open our 10th health center in Fontana. These are more than just physical expansions -; they’re tangible expressions of our commitment to access, equity, and dignity for all.
Looking ahead, we’re focused on deepening human connection and broadening the movement for reproductive freedom. We know real change happens when care, education, and advocacy come together, and it takes all of us to make that possible.
Thank you for standing with us and helping us build a healthier, more equitable future in our community.
Statement from the Board Chair/President
Philanthropy builds relationships. Our extraordinarily passionate supporters are among our greatest strengths as an organization. Our patients turn to us because of the spirit of confidential, compassionate care that we exemplify in everything we do, but nearly two-thirds of them have no other health care provider, making it challenging for us to help them improve their health and wellbeing through limited reproductive health-focused care. Philanthropy will make the difference in our ability to pursue our mission and ensure that our communities can count on high-quality care, no matter what.
