Umbrella Clinic: Wellness Center for Children and Families
Trust is the cornerstone of our mission. By pairing clinical expertise with community support, we build deep relationships that empower families to reach their goals. We listen first, creating a safe environment where families can master essential life skills—from mindfulness and coping strategies to physical activity and a positive relationship with food. Schools and healthcare providers have referred children to Serving Kids Hope for over 20 years. We are a trusted resource. We are a reliable and committed provider of health care ensuring no child or individual in need is turned away, no matter how complex or challenging their condition. Funding for Success: Equipment, furniture, mental health counseling/consultation rooms, medical exam rooms, fitness & food preparation/demo, vital medical equipment, IT & cloud based documentation platform, compliance and credentialing, etc.
Serving Kids Hope aims to equip the Umbrella Clinic to help children and families with anything raining down on their health: food and housing insecurity, stress, excess screen time, processed food, unsafe environments, trauma, academic performance, and other hardships.
The Umbrella Clinic is centrally located in Orange County, with bus service, providing families easy access to a group of specialty providers in one space.
Funding will help make the site a welcoming, properly equipped, collaborative space that is critical to laying a foundation for patient relationships, as well as an environment conducive for staff and work flow.
We anticipate our services to reach 20% more children and families who seek access to this type of unique specialty health care and support in reaching healthier lives.
Our goal is to instill the sustainable habits necessary to nurture a healthier generation.
Being Healthy from A to Z
A Community, County, and State Based Solution: 8 Tier Integrated Model: Prevention and Early Intervention Program designed to instill and inspire Healthy Habits and Ultimately Resilience Upstream in Children's Lives to prevent 10 leading causes of death and mortality. Being Healthy from A to Z is intended to engage, inspire, and instill “Healthy Habits” through engaging content in young children upstream in their lives and support their families, neighborhoods, support systems, caregivers, schools, medical providers, and ultimately their communities to germinate and grow these habits for a lifetime.
Our reach continues to expand: we have engaged over 750,000 viewers through PBS SoCal PSAs, brought specialized programming to 30,000 students, and equipped 3,000 professionals—including doctors, teachers, and social workers and parents—with the tools to drive community health.
