Activities for Wellness
An Activity Director involves the ladies in activities each day: exercise & physical therapy, singing & musical entertainment, bingo and other games, and arts & crafts. Some supplies are needed.
It keeps the ladies mentally alert, physically active, and socially accepted & involved with one another.
Basic Assisted Living
St. Francis Home provides basic living needs of three meals and 2 snacks daily, housekeeping, general laundry, medication management, hair styling, and assistance with daily activities in a 24/7 care and supervision of residents. All is within lovely gated grounds and garden. Catholic services are optional each day. Activities of music and entertainment, movies, arts & crafts and group exercise encourage interaction among the residents. All the lay employees and Sisters provide this assisted care. (Salary in budget)
The Franciscan Sisters have grown in the number of people served since 1944. They began with one house for two women and now it is a two story building with possible 60 residents and 12 Franciscan Sisters.
Although the COV-19 sent many residents elsewhere, so now there are 40, and open to new residents.
A well-rounded schedule provides the residents with interesting days.
