Ready Reserve

Team Rubicon helps communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and humanitarian crises. Team Rubicon offers no cost services to individuals and communities at each phase of disasters. Our operations are specific to local community needs and are guided by local officials and community input. Our services work to improve the safety and health of homes and communities. By investing in TR's unrestricted Ready Reserve Fund, DONOR’S funding will critically fuel these specific priority areas, ensuring TR services reach moderate- to high-vulnerability survivors as indicated by the CDC's Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) rating system. Ready Reserve encompasses three factors: Resilience - Ensures that community members across the U.S. are prepared, trained, and ready to serve before, during, and after disasters strike. TR will: Execute in-person and online leadership and community organizing training, so communities help themselves. Engage in events / special projects with community leaders, nonprofits, business, and officials. Lead community-based preparedness "exercises" to democratize resilience. Expand fire mitigation activities in high-risk communities and tribal lands to increase community health and safety in wildfire-prone areas. Response - To restore vulnerable families' safe access to disaster services, regardless of disaster size, media coverage, or location, Team Rubicon remains committed to providing immediate disaster response services to people in need. Supporting this fund fuels TR capabilities such as: Site surveys/damage assessments allowing survivors to apply for insurance funds quickly. Debris removal and management, heavy equipment, and chainsaw services Mucking and gutting of flooded homes to save homeowners thousands. Expedient home repair and temporary roof tarping to save the home that remains. Recovery - TR will continue to provide long-term recovery services, ultimately retaining and restoring homeowner finances, safety, and health. PepsiCo Foundation’s investment enables our Rebuild team to use the highest standards of Fortified building practices to give disaster-affected families a new start regardless of where they live or their financial situation.
