CEO/Executive Director Experience

Holiday Zimmerman graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Social Ecology and later earned her Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. Early in her career, Holiday founded Miracles in Motion in 1999, a program dedicated to supporting motel and homeless families through mentorship and life skills training. This work eventually became part of her home church, Mariners Church, where she served and volunteered for over two decades, continuing to build programs that served families on the margins. Holiday’s deep involvement in local outreach laid the foundation for her broader vision of community development. After the unexpected passing of her father, Gene Molway, in 2017, a man who had already begun forming the idea of a new kind of nonprofit. Holiday partnered with his collaborator, Paul, to carry that vision forward. Together in 2019, they founded The HUB OC, a centralized community initiative designed to meet people where they are and provide essential services, support, and care. Since its founding, The HUB OC has expanded rapidly under Holiday’s leadership. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she helped keep essential youth services open by working with the city to provide Wi-Fi, meals, and safe, supportive spaces for children of working parents. She also launched the Full Circle Marketplace, a thrift store that offers youth employment opportunities and has raised funds for the Hubs programs. In 2022, Holiday responded to the city’s call to support unhoused residents by opening the HUB Resource Center, a one-stop location providing meals, showers, laundry, clothing, job help, art therapy, and case management. Holiday believes in a "yes" approach to needs and in 2024 just launched two new initiatives: The Hub Early Learning Program and The Hub Community Center serving in new and incredible ways in Orange. Holiday’s passion for transformational work also extends globally through The HUB OC’s outreach arm, Allelous, which works to support impoverished and war-impacted areas like Ukraine. Whether working locally or internationally, Holiday remains grounded in her belief that community transformation starts with compassion, consistency, and meaningful connections. Her leadership continues to shape The HUB OC’s mission to become a launchpad for individuals and families ready to take the next step toward growth and stability.
