Arissa Palmer, Executive Director of BreastfeedLA since 2015, brings over two decades of experience in public health, program planning, and development. In her current role, Arissa provides transformational leadership, strategic direction, leadership coaching, grant writing and fundraising. Previously, Arissa held leadership positions, including Outreach Education Director for a federally qualified health center and Development Director for an HIV Service Organization. Arissa began her social justice career in Baltimore working for various reproductive justice organizations. Arissa serves on the finance committee for USBC and as board treasurer for HERStory. She holds a Master's Degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Community Health.
