Michael Arnot is Executive Director of Children’s Cause Orange County. Mr. Arnot has had a career dedicated to service delivery, program development, and policy change that includes positions with First 5 LA, Phoenix Houses of California, and the Child Abuse Prevention Center, directing community mental health and substance abuse treatment programs, working with organizations at the national level in Washington D.C., and leading mental health advocacy efforts in Orange County. He was First 5 LA’s lead for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) initiatives including facilitating the Los Angeles County Autism Task Force and partnering with The Help Group. For the last several years, he has been a member of the State Council on Development Disabilities Orange County Health Care Task Force. Mr. Arnot’s current efforts to prevent childhood toxic stress include a focus on children with ASD who face systemic barriers to receiving treatment for mental health conditions due to their ASD diagnosis.
