CEO/Executive Director Experience

Maura Byron, MEd, has been with Family Support Network for 18 years. She has served as the Executive Director since March of 2020. Initially working with the special needs community, Mo provided guidance and emotional support to hundreds of families looking to find services and assistance in raising their special needs child. Being the mother of a daughter with significant physical and intellectual delays, Mo's passion is letting these families know that they are not alone and they are valued and seen. Working with the Wraparound OC team for the last 12 years, Mo has offered her knowledge of education and special needs to the Wraparound teams. She is an active member of the intake team for Wraparound. Maura has worked as a staff trainer for California Children's Services in the area of Family Centered Care. She has served as a member of the Kaiser CCS Special Care Team for many years and is currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors for Cal Optima. She served as the chair of the CCS Whole Child Model Family Advisory Committee and of the Member Advisory Committee prior to her appointment on the Board of Directors. Mo serves on many collaborative countywide committees and gladly participates on committees that serve a national audience. She has facilitated support groups and provided presentations throughout the county regarding services for children with special needs. Her background as an educator and her personal life experience as a parent of a child with special needs brings unique qualities to the position of Executive Director at FSN.
