CEO/Executive Director Experience
Mr. Oldfield has three decades of experience leading, fundraising and consulting for mental health, social service, immigrant, homeless and HIV/AIDS organizations. He joined JFCS as CEO in 2021 after successful leadership roles at Program for Torture Victims, AIDS Service Center, The LGBTQ Center Long Beach and The People Concern. He has lived in Long Beach since 1995. His advocacy work includes gaining additional funding from Congress for services that support refugees and other immigrants. His civil rights and social justice work includes fighting for marriage equality, expanding employment protections for transgender individuals, and eliminating discriminatory practices against people living with HIV. He also spearheaded a capital campaign to build the France Rice Women’s Shelter in downtown Los Angeles. Mr. Oldfield is considered an expert in nonprofit fundraising and holds a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) license, an accreditation realized by only 7400 individuals worldwide. He is a published author in areas of fundraising, nonprofit board governance, strategic planning, and the board/CEO partnership. He holds a Masters in Business Administration and teaches at the Center for Nonprofit Management, The Nonprofit Partnership, Jericho Road, and other nonprofit support organizations.
