Tustin Veterans Outpost

Tustin Veterans Outpost reaches out to all veterans needing housing and a hand-up. Residents receive the services and support they need to learn how to become self-sufficient in civilian life. The apartment complex offers transitional housing for 52 people, along with veteran-specific services, including case management, mental health services, educational assistance, food and nutrition assistance, healthcare, legal services, job training, and employment placement.

Double R Ranch

Double R Ranch is a working horse ranch where homeless men, women, and children have a unique opportunity to work with horses and animals while identifying and addressing the root causes of what led them to homelessness. This 33-acre transitional housing facility offers two years of free housing while families and individuals receive comprehensive services to remove barriers and build skills to promote financial self-sufficiency. Double R Ranch also serves as a weekend retreat for Village of Hope families. OCRM is currently renovating the Ranch to provide 141+ beds for homeless men, women, and children.

Village of Hope

Village of Hope, a 258-bed transitional housing program, is designed to help families and individuals break the cycle of homelessness, restore family relationships, and find permanent, gainful employment. Village of Hope offers comprehensive services, such as safe housing, daily meals, and integrated support, that equip homeless individuals and families for financial self-sufficiency. Holistic support includes case management, workforce development, high school diploma or equivalency attainment, basic life skills training, parent coaching, and financial education. Residents learn valuable work skills, such as proper work attire, professionalism, and interpersonal communication, through skilled training alongside finance, janitorial, maintenance, landscaping, food services, and administration professionals.

Outreach and Prevention

Homeless Outreach and Prevention Services for all homeless and impoverished individuals and families include: 1. Information and Referral Services are available to individuals seeking assistance through any of OCRM’s community outreach programs or OCRM’s internal programs, such as our transitional housing and supportive housing programs. 2. Mobile Feeding Program provides approximately 8,000 warm meals to people experiencing homelessness in various locations throughout the county. 3. The Food Box Distribution Program distributes 1,500 boxes to partner agencies for distribution to low-income residents in their communities. Through a partnership with Second Harvest and local grocery stores, fresh food items are distributed to partner agencies weekly. 4. OCRM’s Veterans Outreach Program offers hygiene kits, food items, referrals to community services available to veterans, assistance in accessing VA benefits, and ongoing communication and support.

The long-term goal is to mitigate the effects of poverty, hunger, and homelessness in Orange County by providing strategic services to the impoverished and homeless in the community.

Strong Beginnings

The Strong Beginnings program provides comprehensive services for women escaping human trafficking. Our response avoids re-traumatization and provides trauma-informed care through a victim-centered approach. Strong Beginnings provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, care coordination, case management, advocacy services, mental health assistance, food, clothing, counseling, healthcare, and more, all at no cost to the victim.
