Senior Benefit & Paperwork Assistance Center
OUR STORY
Senior Benefit & Paperwork Assistance Center began as a grassroots community effort during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the pandemic, the founder provided free paperwork and benefits assistance to seniors, unemployed individuals, small business owners, and cancer patients who were struggling to navigate complex systems such as EDD unemployment benefits, SBA loans, and PPP applications. In parallel, humanitarian support was provided to underserved communities, including an orphanage in Haiti.
Today, the organization serves seniors and vulnerable populations throughout Orange County by providing free senior benefit and paperwork assistance, non-medical support for cancer patients, and help with housing and public benefit applications. The organization currently serves approximately 20–30 individuals each month.
Senior Benefit & Paperwork Assistance Center is committed to ensuring that no one is denied access to critical support due to income, language barriers, or lack of system knowledge, and aims to strengthen the community safety net through compassionate and practical assistance.
Mission Statement
Senior Benefit & Paperwork Assistance Center is a nonprofit organization
dedicated to helping seniors, cancer patients, and vulnerable populations
overcome barriers to accessing essential public benefits and services.
We provide free assistance with Social Security, Medicare and Medi-Cal,
housing-related paperwork, and other public benefit applications.
Our mission is to ensure that no one is denied critical support due to
income limitations, language barriers, or the complexity of administrative systems.
Background Statement
The organization’s work began organically during the COVID-19 pandemic
as grassroots community service.
During this time, the founder provided free assistance to seniors,
unemployed individuals, and small business owners with EDD unemployment benefits,
SBA and PPP applications, and other pandemic-related paperwork.
In parallel, humanitarian support was also provided to an orphanage in Haiti.
As community needs continued to grow, this long-standing, volunteer-based work
was formally established as Senior Benefit & Paperwork Assistance Center
to expand its reach and impact as an approved nonprofit organization.
Impact Statement
Senior Benefit & Paperwork Assistance Center currently serves
approximately 20–30 individuals per month through free paperwork
and benefits assistance services.
Through this support, seniors and vulnerable individuals are better able
to access Social Security, healthcare coverage, housing assistance,
and other essential public resources.
Our work reduces financial stress, confusion, and isolation,
particularly among individuals facing language and system-access barriers.
Needs Statement
Many seniors, cancer patients, and low-income individuals face significant
challenges navigating complex administrative systems.
Language barriers, digital access limitations, and lack of guidance often prevent
eligible individuals from receiving critical public benefits.
Affordable and trustworthy paperwork assistance services are extremely limited.
As a result, there is a strong and ongoing need for free, community-based
benefit and paperwork assistance programs.
Geographic Areas Served
The organization primarily serves Orange County, California.
When appropriate, humanitarian assistance is also extended to underserved
communities outside the region, including international mission locations.
Top Three Populations Served
- Households with limited English proficiency
- Immigrants and Refugees
- Seniors/Older Adults

All services provided by our organization have been offered at no cost. We remain committed to ensuring that individuals are able to access critical public benefits regardless of income, language barriers, or background, and we will continue to carry out this mission with accountability and compassion.
