One Y. One Goal. One Community. Our mission is to put Christian principals into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. At the Y, it all begins with one. One person seeking a better future. One person standing up for another. One organization bringing them together.
 

In 1934, 24 volunteers established the first YMCA in Orange County. In the very beginning, programs included Youth Camping, Bible Study, and Literary Societies. Over the years, health and wellness centers, swimming, child care, programs for special needs populations and sports have all been added, contributing to our long and rich history in Orange County, CA.  In the last five years, we have grown outside of Orange County, now serving Riverside County, Pomona Valley and the East San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County.  Annually, we serve 61k+ individuals, children, and families with before/afterschool childcare, sports, swim, camp, health and wellness programs, and community service support for adults and youth with developmental disabilities  and provide low-income families and individuals with financial assistance so that they can participate in our programs at a reduced rate.

We are one community. One community filled with families, children and neighborhoods who need support. At the Y, we know it is our mission to help those in need, and strengthening community is our cause. We are committed to building a stronger community through programs, resources and advocacy that will strengthen the health and well-being of those who need it most. With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y serves Orange County, along with Riverside County, San Gabriel Valley, and Pomona Valley through seven health and wellness locations (Laguna Niguel, Newport Beach, Mission Viejo, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Murrieta and Santa Ana), two program centers (Rancho Mission Viejo, Yorba Linda), and an aquatics and soccer complex (Santa Ana). With an additional 150 afterschool programs, summer camps, sports and swim programs, Adventure Guides parent/child groups, and programs for youth and adults with special needs, YMCA of Orange County is committed to serving our growing and diverse community needs.

Donations Need -  Funding for Financial Assistance Scholarships. We serve low-income individuals and families every year by providing over $1.1 million in scholarships to participate in our programs, including child care, swim, sports, health and wellness, and parent/child programs. Financial Assistance Scholarships allow the Y to offer access to all Y programs for every family regardless of  their ability to pay program fees.
