CEO/Executive Director Experience
Cari Teran, LMFT, is the Founding Director and Chief Executive Officer of Healing To You with more than 25 years of experience in community mental health and violence intervention. She has dedicated her career to advancing trauma-informed systems of care for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. Cari serves as Vice Chair of the California State Child Abduction Task Force and as Co-Chair of the Los Angeles County Sexual Assault Council, where she collaborates with multidisciplinary partners across healthcare, law enforcement, prosecution, and victim advocacy to strengthen coordinated responses to violence. She is recognized for her expertise in early childhood trauma, complex family systems, and the long-term physical and psychological impact of abuse. Her leadership is grounded in clinical integrity, survivor-centered care, and a commitment to breaking cycles of violence through early intervention and systems change.
