Mobile Medical and Mental Health Services for Domestic Violence Shelter Residents

Healing To You is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides mobile medical and mental health services to children and adults living in emergency domestic violence shelters in San Diego, Orange, and Riverside Counties. Our program is the only service provider of its kind in California, combining high-quality medical and mental health services to support the healing and recovery of domestic violence shelter residents. Our mobile health care services include Covid-19 testing and vaccines, adult and pediatric primary health care, medication management, mental health support, safety and empowerment workshops, early childhood developmental screenings and infant massage education. Our goal is to close the gap in access to healthcare services to promote well being and heal the impact of trauma. Healing To You envisions a future free of violence in the home for children and adults to be able to thrive in life. Our mobile medical and mental health clinic combines high-quality medical and mental health services to support the healing and recovery of domestic violence shelter residents. Our experienced healthcare professionals provide personalized care, tailored to the unique needs of domestic violence survivors, including injury documentation, forensic exams, reproductive healthcare, and gender affirming care. Our licensed mental health clinicians are skilled in working with families with young children, providing infant massage education, early childhood developmental assessments, and referrals to occupational or physical therapy, and/or speech and language specialists. With a focus on early childhood interventions we hope to interrupt the cycle of generational abuse. We understand the importance of a holistic approach to healing, which is why we offer both medical and mental health services in one convenient location. Our mobile clinic is a vital resource for domestic violence shelter residents, providing access to the care and support needed to overcome trauma and rebuild their lives.

Wilmington Comprehensive Community Clinic

The Wilmington Comprehensive Community Clinic offers a wide range of services designed to meet the needs of the entire family, with a focus on compassionate and informed care. Our clinic provides full adult, pediatric, and infant primary medical care, ensuring access to essential healthcare for all ages. We offer comprehensive mental health services to support emotional and psychological well-being. Additionally, the clinic is equipped with specialized services, including sexual assault forensic exams and advocacy, providing critical care and support to survivors. Our clinic offers a safe and nurturing environment for expecting mothers, complete with advanced 3D/4D ultrasounds to monitor and celebrate the journey of pregnancy. All staff at our clinic are trauma-informed and specially trained to work with families impacted by violence, ensuring that every patient receives the sensitive and expert care they deserve.
