Mobile Healthcare Program for Shelter Residents
Healing To You’s Mobile Healthcare Program delivers trauma-informed medical and mental health services directly into Orange County communities through scheduled partner site visits, outreach events, and referral-based deployments. The program provides integrated adult and pediatric medical care, behavioral health services, reproductive health, chronic disease screenings, prevention education, victim advocacy, and care coordination for survivors of violence and individuals experiencing housing instability. Transportation and childcare support are provided when needed to reduce barriers to care. All clinical staff are dual certified in domestic violence and sexual assault response, ensuring services are survivor-centered, safety-focused, and responsive to the complex realities families face.
Between April 2024 and July 2025, the Mobile Healthcare Program provided 1,300 medical services and 1,471 mental health services to 485 patients across Southern California, with 68% of services delivered in Orange County. An additional 285 community members were reached through outreach events and prevention services. 97% of patients reported satisfaction with their care, 91% indicated interest in returning, and 26% shared they would not have accessed healthcare without Healing To You. Transportation assistance was provided to 30% of patients, and 20% received childcare support to help maintain continuity of care.
Wilmington Comprehensive Community Clinic
Healing To You opened the Wilmington Comprehensive Community Clinic in Fall 2025 to provide a permanent, community-based healthcare site for survivors and underserved families. The clinic offers adult and pediatric primary care, mental health services, reproductive healthcare, trauma-focused counseling, and telehealth services. The clinic also supports continuity of care between Mobile Healthcare Program visits, helping patients remain connected to healthcare services over time. Mental health providers have specialized expertise in early childhood trauma and development, including services for children ages 0 to 5. All staff are trauma-informed and dual certified in domestic violence and sexual assault response.
The Wilmington Comprehensive Community Clinic is helping survivors and families access healthcare earlier and remain connected to ongoing support before medical and mental health concerns escalate into crisis situations. The clinic strengthens continuity of care, increases engagement in treatment, and provides a trusted healthcare environment for patients who may have previously avoided traditional systems due to trauma, fear, or instability. The clinic also serves as a central hub for telehealth and follow up services between Mobile Healthcare Program visits at partner agencies, expanding access to consistent, survivor-centered care throughout Orange County.
Mobile Sexual Assault Response Team (mSART) Pilot
Healing To You’s Mobile Sexual Assault Response Team (mSART) Pilot is a community-based, trauma-informed program designed to increase access to forensic and medical care for sexual assault survivors throughout Los Angeles County. The pilot is being developed to deploy Healing To You’s mobile health clinic directly to community-based rape crisis centers to provide sexual assault healthcare and forensic exams, advocacy, follow up medical and mental health services, and case management outside of traditional hospital settings and law enforcement referral pathways. The mSART model is intended for survivors who may be undecided about reporting to law enforcement, fearful of retaliation, facing immigration related concerns, experiencing homelessness, or uncomfortable accessing emergency departments. Planned services would be delivered through scheduled deployments at 3 rape crisis centers throughout Los Angeles County. The pilot is designed to strengthen survivor choice, reduce barriers to care, and address critical gaps in follow up medical services after assault.
The Mobile Sexual Assault Response Team (mSART) Pilot is designed to expand access to timely, trauma-informed forensic and medical care for survivors who may not seek services through traditional hospital or law enforcement systems. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, only 13% of rape and sexual assault victimizations in urban areas were reported to police between 2020 and 2023, highlighting the need for confidential, community-based response options for non-reporting and undecided survivors.
The pilot aims to reduce delays in care, increase survivor choice, strengthen follow up medical and mental health support, and improve access to compassionate healthcare in safer, community-based environments. The program is not intended to replace existing forensic response systems, but rather fill critical gaps for survivors who do not access traditional pathways to care.
